The Kasleti River: A Stream of the Svaneti Highlands
The Kasleti River (მდინარე კასლეთი) is a mountain river in the Mestia Municipality of Upper Svaneti. It is a left tributary of the Enguri River, originating on the slopes of the Svaneti Range. The river flows through a scenic valley near the popular Hatsvali Ski Resort, one of the main winter and summer tourist destinations in the Mestia area. The Kasleti is a typical Svanetian river, with cold, clear water fed by snowmelt and mountain springs, flowing through a landscape of dense coniferous forests and alpine pastures.
