This is not a difficult hike in high mountains; it’s a peaceful walk in the forest, at the end of which an amazing reward awaits you – warm, sulfur water pools under the open sky!
A Stroll Through the Historic Park
Your adventure starts from the entrance of the Central (Historical) Park of Borjomi. The first part follows the well-maintained paths of the park, where you walk along the Borjomula River, listen to the rustling of leaves, and breathe in the scent of coniferous trees. This section is pleasant in itself and sets the mood for the adventure ahead.
At the end of the park, after you pass the famous “Bridge of Beauty,” the path slowly enters the forest and becomes more natural. This is where the real forest trail begins.
Through the Forest Trail to the Sulfur Baths
The trail is quite easy and well-trodden. It follows the river valley, and you are surrounded by century-old pine and fir trees. The air here is crystal clear and full of healing aromas. Along the way, you will cross several wooden bridges and enjoy the babbling of the river and the chirping of birds.
After a quiet walk of about 40-60 minutes, you will reach your destination. You will be greeted by a small complex built of stone and three pools filled with natural, warm sulfur water.
This water, with a temperature of about 32-38 degrees Celsius, has numerous healing properties. After a pleasant walk, lying in the warm water and listening to the sounds of nature is a true relaxation for body and soul.
