Join us for an unforgettable journey into the high Caucasus mountains! We will travel along the historic Georgian Military Highway, explore ancient fortresses, take in breathtaking alpine views, and visit the iconic Gergeti Trinity Church nestled above the clouds.
We will pick you up directly from your hotel in Tbilisi. Get comfortable for the beautiful journey ahead along the historic Georgian Military Highway!
Our first stop is at the stunning turquoise waters of the Jinvali Reservoir. It is the perfect spot to take amazing panoramic photos with the Caucasus mountains in the background.
Next, we explore the 16th-century Ananuri Fortress complex overlooking the Aragvi river. You can walk along its ancient defensive walls and step inside its beautiful historic church.
We will pause at Gudauri, Georgia’s premier ski resort. Take a moment to breathe in the crisp, fresh alpine air and enjoy the breathtaking views from the high-altitude viewing platforms.
Just up the road, we will visit the colorful Soviet-era mosaic monument perched right on the edge of a cliff. The view looking down into the massive Devil’s Valley gorge here is truly unforgettable!
We arrive at the main town, formerly known as Kazbegi. You will have time to explore the local market, grab a delicious Georgian lunch, and enjoy a coffee with incredible mountain views all around you.
This is the highlight of the trip! We will go up to the iconic 14th-century church sitting at 2,170 meters. The silhouette of this church against the massive Mount Kazbek glacier is the most famous image of Georgia.
Relax on the scenic drive back down the mountains. We will drop you off right at your original pickup location in Tbilisi, leaving you with incredible memories of the Caucasus.
