The Kumuri River (მდინარე ყუმური) is a river located in the Vani Municipality of the Imereti region in western Georgia. It originates on the northern slopes of the Meskheti Range and flows north across the Imereti lowlands to join the Rioni River as its left tributary. The river flows through a region that was once at the heart of the ancient Kingdom of Colchis, an area rich in archaeological treasures.

The Kumuri valley is most famous for its proximity to the ancient site of Vani, a major temple city of the Colchian Kingdom that flourished from the 8th to the 1st centuries BC. The river would have been a vital resource for this ancient settlement. Today, the river flows through a fertile agricultural landscape, characterized by vineyards, cornfields, and traditional Imeretian villages. While a modest river, the Kumuri is historically significant, its waters flowing through a land steeped in ancient history and legend.
