The Makhostskali River (მდინარე მახოსწყალი) is a mountain river in the Khelvachauri Municipality of Adjara. It is a left tributary of the larger Machakhelisწყali River, flowing through the lower part of the historic and beautiful Machakhela Gorge. The river originates on the slopes of the Shavsheti Range and descends through a landscape of exceptional natural beauty, characterized by dense Colchic forests, steep valleys, and picturesque villages.
